Transfer of Good Agricultural Practices Seminar on Study Trips

       Project team organized a seminar aiming to disseminate and transfer experiences that participants had during study trips. This seminar gave the opportunity to farmers to find out the operation of farmers in Greece and in Romania which are two of the EU member states. The farmers have been chosen based on several criteria. First, to be wheat, barley, canola, melon/watermelon, and sunflower producer, then cultivated area and experience in this sector. Grape and olive producers from Şarköy area have been invited as well because they have shown interest in Good Agricultural Practices and their lead would influence other farmers as well. During the seminar, Study Visits participants have shared their newly acquired knowledge about agriculture, farm structures, Good Agricultural Practices, land ownership laws, farming equipments used, farm sizes, price levels, costs of fertilizers, interest in organic foods, state subsidies and development levels about Greece and Romania.
